October 2: Flake’s comments came as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) promised that the Senate would vote on the nomination this week without any further delay. “We’ll have the opportunity to vote ‘no’ on the politics of personal destruction. We’ll have the opportunity to vote ‘yes’ on this fine nominee,” he said. (The Washington Post)
